Abstract

Background: A career is a profession that each individual pursues through specific training, which takes a long time. As the students grow up within the school, they begin to pursue a career that they aspire to. In this generation, technology is prevalent, and children are known as frequent users of the internet. Young people are watching numerous vloggers and students, to be precise. As they grow old, the fondness of watching vloggers on the internet increases. Their interests in their chosen career change due to the ideal lifestyle they have seen online. Instead of following a practical and a permanent career, they show interest in pursuing another path to be an internet vlogger. Method: This study is qualitative in nature. Furthermore, it utilized a phenomenological research design to understand the students' career in vlogging. The study aims to answer the question: "What made young people, specifically students, change their job interest for their future?" Findings: This study refers explicitly to altering student vloggers' academic pathways in life. This study revealed how the students managed their time, discovered which priority they valued most, came up with content ideas, and how fame affects their daily lives. Conclusion: Vloggers being given the platform have influenced students and the younger generation to be more open and have a broader perspective on choosing careers and opens them to newly acquired knowledge and interests. Recommendation: This study recommends increasing the number of respondents/students to give people a further understanding of the experiences and career path of the student vloggers.
