JAMIA MILLIA ISLAMIA
RESEARCHER

Speciality

I, Md Abrar Siddiquee want to apply for the post-Doctoral position in your research group. I have completed my Ph.D. at the Biophysical Chemistry laboratory, Center for interdisciplinary research in basic sciences, Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi. Primarily, my research is (i) as-Synthesis of Ionic liquid (ILs), ILs-drug conjugates with all basic characterization, interfacial and biophysical studies at interface. (ii) Synthesis characterization of metal nanoparticles and studies the effect nanoparticles on the structure of proteins.

I have done my master’s in Chemistry and followed by the master’s in philosophy (M.Phil.) in interdisciplinary sciences. My M.Phil. thesis entitled ‘‘Synthesis characterization and biological screening of coumarin sulfonamide based chalcone derivatives” under the supervision of Dr. Fareeda Athar from Center for interdisciplinary research in basic sciences, Jamia Millia Islamia, Jamia Nagar, New Delhi-India. After M.Phil., I worked on green synthesis of nanoparticles, and their interaction with model protein and check their stability. The works have been published in international journals as (1) ‘‘Green synthesis of silver nanoparticles from plant leaf extracts: In-vitro cytotoxicity and interaction studies with bovine serum albumin’’ Materials Chemistry and Physics. (2019) (IF=4.0). (2) ‘’Biogenic synthesis, in vitro cytotoxicity, esterase activity and interaction studies of copper oxide nanoparticles with lysozyme’’. Journal of Materials Research and Technology (2021) (IF=5.0). My research interest in biophysical chemistry, material science and spectroscopy field.
