My areas of specialization include African literature, English literature, oral literature, humour studies, popular culture and literary theory and criticism

I obtained a B.A. degree with Second Class Honours (Upper Division) from the Department of Dramatic Arts at Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife. I obtained an M.A. degree in Literature-in-English in the Department of English at the same university, where I also obtained a PhD in Oral Literature. I am currently teaching African literature, English literature, popular culture, African drama, literary theory, and criticism in the Department of English and Literary Studies at the Osun State University, Osogbo, Osun State.

I have had experiences handling some journals: I am an editorial consultant for the Upland Journal of Education and Multidisciplinary Research (UJEMR), which is a journal of the Upland College of Education in Ifira-Ipesi Akoko in Ondo State. I am an associate editor of the Journal of Language, Literature, and African Studies (a journal of the Department of Languages, Glorious Vision University), an assistant editor of GVU Journal of Humanities (a journal of the College of Humanities, Glorious Vision University Ogwa) and currently a reviewer for the Mission for Language Translation based in Agbor, Delta State.
