Abstract
Strabismus is defined as a misalignment of the anatomy of the human eye, presenting as ocular misalignment either inward towards the nose (esotropia) or outward (exotropia). Detecting strabismus is crucial as its misalignment not only affects ones appearance but also seriously disrupts the eyes function as a visual sense organ. Strabismus can affect the psychosocial condition of individuals, such as decreased self-confidence and self-esteem. This literature review assesses and compares the post-surgery between pre-surgery quality of life of strabismus patients.
