Abstract

Knowledge is the result of ones understanding of objects with human sensing. Pregnancy is the process of meeting spermatozoa with ovum and then implantation or attachment. Reproductive health is a state of complete physical, mental, and social well-being that is not only free of reproductive diseases or disabilities, but also of their functions and processes. The goal of this study was to see if there was a link between pregnant womens knowledge of pregnancy and reproductive health in Gisik Cemandi Village, Sidoarjo, East Java, one of the coastal areas in Indonesia. This research is a cross sectional research which is descriptive analytic in nature. The samples taken in this study were the entire population, namely a total of 15 pregnant women in Gisik Cemandi Village, so the total sampling technique was used in selecting the sample. This research was conducted in August 2022. The statistical analysis used was univariate and bivariate analysis. The findings of this study revealed a link between pregnant womens knowledge of pregnancy and reproductive health with a p-value <0.05, which is 0.000. This research is expected to provide policymakers with information for optimizing existing programs related to pregnancy and reproductive health in pregnant women.
