Abstract
The objective of the study is to demonstrate the tenability of the proposition that road development have an influenced on the economic growth of a locality and/or region. Toward this end, the study attempted to examine three types of road classifications in the Philippines. These are the barangay road, municipal road, and the national road. It was found out that, only the national road have a significant influenced to the economic growth in the Municipality. The study concluded that the proposition that road development have an influenced to economic growth should be examined within the purview of budgetary allocation being intended for the purpose of road development whether the road is classified as barangay, municipal, or national. This is because any kind of road development is inseparable from its budgetary allocation. Hence, in reckoning for economic growth through the roads being developed in a given locality or region, it is, necessary not to neglect the importance of budgetary allocation as having an indirect influence to the quality of roads being developed and in turn the influence of these roads to economic growth.
