Abstract

This study focused on the assessment of the relationship between the students? behavior and the online career counseling system of South City Homes Academy and Angels in Heaven School which composed of two-hundred and thirty-six male and female students under the ABM, HUMSS, STEM and TVL strands. The objective of the study is Specifically, it sought to answer to the following questions: 1) What is the status of student?s behavior in terms of preference, commitment, interest and determination 2) What is the level of online career counseling system relative to availability, accessibility, reliability, convenience and engagement 3) Is there any significant relationship between the behavior and the Online Career Counseling System of the Senior High School students? The study employed a quantitative research method. This study employed a descriptive research methodology in order to analyze the relationship between student?s behavior and an online career counseling system among senior high school students from South City Homes Academy and Angels in Heaven School. Also, the level of student?s behavior gathered an overall mean of 3.98 for preference and 4.11 for commitment interpreted as High respectively while interest gathered an overall mean of 4.24 and 4.21 for determination interpreted as very high. Based on the data, it is shown that there is ?a relationship student?s behavior and online career counseling system among senior high school students of South City Homes Academy and Angels in Heaven School? at 0.001 level of significance. The researcher therefore concludes that r-values for student?s behavior are significant at probability level. This means that the student?s behavior has a strong correlation to the online career counseling system with regards to availability, accessibility, reliability, convenience and engagement. Based on the data, it is shown that there is ?a relationship student?s behavior and online career counseling system among senior high school students of South City Homes Academy and Angels in Heaven School? at <0.000 level of significance. The researcher recommends that the behavior of the students such as the preference, commitment, interest and determination may be given an utmost importance for the career counseling system for their career decision making, students may be positively motivated in utilizing modern technology specifically the internet, smartphones, tablets and computer in career counselling, Guidance counselors may be technically well equipped of the various platform like social media and digital devices for career counseling, orientation may be done to discuss before conducting the online career counseling system for the parents and students as well for the teachers, parents should inform on the preference of their child in terms of using the online career counseling system, the administrator may improve their student's services in guidance counseling particularly in online career counseling program in assisting students with problems in their career decision making & in other behavioral problems and future researcher may conduct relevant studies about the behavior of the students regarding online career counseling.
