Meralgia Paresthetica (MP) is a condition when the Lateral Femoral Cutaneous Nerve (LFCN) is compressed by the surrounding tissue. MP causes pain, paresthesia, and sensory loss according to the distribution of LFCN. This condition can cause the patient's quality of life to be disturbed and lead to disability, and financial loss if they do not get proper and adequate treatment. MP causes anything, for example, depression, and anxiety, including individual, social, and global burdens. Proper diagnosis and therapy are important for doctors to know. Knowledge of how to diagnose MP will lead to appropriate MP management so that it can reduce the existing burden.
